"I was pregnant with my second child when we started looking for a doula. Having struggled a lot following the birth of our first baby and not having a lot of family support nearby, we were keen to find a hands on doula who could get stuck in and be that extra pair of hands for us especially when my husband went back to work. We spoke to a handful of doulas and Alice stood out from the start. Friendly, flexible, down to earth with vast experience, we knew she would fit in and not only did she fit in, she exceeded our expectations from day 1. She has been such an emotional support (listening to our concerns, suggesting ideas, sharing experiences) as well as practical support (such as helping with meal prep and washing for the family, keeping the house in order, encouraging and giving me time for self-care while she looks after our baby). I was worried it would feel awkward having a stranger in the house but I shouldn't have worried as with Alice it has been like having a friend here. I just wish we had found her 3 years ago after our first baby! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alice to any family."
